Privacy policy

Effective 2026-11-01. This policy explains how Agentic Dev, the course academy operated by Epic Splitter handles personal data for www.academy.epicsplitter.com.

1. What we collect

Account details (name, email address and a hashed password), course purchases and payment references (never card numbers), lesson progress and playback heartbeats, device and approximate location data used for security and fraud prevention, and the emails you send us.

2. Why we collect it

To create and run your account, deliver the courses you bought, confirm payments, prevent fraud and abuse, send transactional emails such as sign-in codes and receipts, and, only if you opt in, occasional product updates. The legal basis is the contract with you, our legitimate interest in running a secure service, and your consent for optional emails.

3. Who we share it with

Service providers that process data on our behalf: the payment provider (Paystack) for purchases, the video platform (Bunny.net) for playback, the email provider (Resend) for messages, and our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Neon). Each only receives what it needs for its task. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers.

4. How long we keep it

Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists and afterwards as required for accounting and dispute handling. Playback session logs are pruned after 90 days. Security logs are kept for up to 12 months.

5. Your rights

You can view and edit your profile and email preferences in your account settings. You can ask us to export or delete your account data by emailing academy@epicsplitter.com from the address on your account; we respond within 30 days. Deletion may be delayed for records we must keep by law.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in and security, plus a local preference for the colour theme. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

7. Security

Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted, video access uses short-lived signed tokens, and admin actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account was accessed without permission, contact us immediately.
